3⁄4 cups all-purpose our
2 1⁄2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
3⁄4 cup chilled buttermilk
Preheat oven to 450°F.
In bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Using pastry cutter, combine butter and our mixture until resembles coarse meal. Slowly add milk, stirring with fork, until dough slightly comes together.
Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface and gently knead, just enough to bring the dough together. Roll out dough about 3⁄4 inch thick. Using biscuit cutter, cut about 12 small biscuits, re-rolling any scraps. Place on parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 13 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
